As an example of our high-quality office decorating in London, we were asked to redecorate a chairman’s office, situated on Hans Street, just off Hyde Park in the Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, London.

The office is in a period property just behind the Lanesborough Hotel just off Hyde Park. As a period property in keeping with the area of Kensington and Chelsea, the walls have been finished in wood panelling and have some great ornate features that give a ‘wow factor’ to the room. When decorating a room such as this, any professional high-quality decorator will tell you; it is all in the preparation.

Once the room is protected properly, we start by sanding and filling all the ceilings and walls to ensure all blemishes are removed. With all the detailed wood panelling and ornate features in the room, we use only the finest grit sandpapers and our dustless sanding equipment, to ensure all surfaces are super smooth before painting.
The interior designer for the project had specified we use paint from ‘Paint Library’. Paint Library is a brand of highly favoured in the West London area. It gives a lovely chalky finish that you only get with designer paint.
However, its application is not for the weekend DIY’er. It’s a very unforgiving paint to use and reminds us of how Farrow and Ball were a few years ago. If you’re not quick on your toes and know what you are doing with a paintbrush, you may end up with some very patchy walls. The paint almost dries on your brush as you apply it, however, once finished you are left with stunning, high quality, chalky paint finish. The total project was to decorate two simular sized offices in the building and was completed in three days, while the Chairman was away on business, with minimum fuss to the administration of the building team.
