High-end decoration and wallcoverings at Kensington Park Gardens

Kensington Park Gardens luxury residential building, London
PROJECT OVERVIEW

High-end decoration and wallcoverings at Kensington Park Gardens, London, for Piperhill Construction — commercial decorating of a luxury house.

We were appointed by Piperhill Construction to carry out high-end decoration and wallcoverings at Kensington Park Gardens. The building is a luxury residential interior. The package was decorations and wallcoverings. That is the job we came to do.

Luxury residential interiors in Kensington are commercial painting and decorating under a main contractor — work we take across London and the South East.

Luxury residential work in Kensington is close-up work. The interiors will be lived in, not visited for an hour. Painted surfaces and hung wallcoverings have to meet cleanly, and they have to look intended when the house is occupied.

The project

Kensington Park Gardens is a luxury residential address. Piperhill Construction was the client. The category is high-end. The work was decorations and wallcoverings. That is the package we carried out.

Decorations on this job are the painted interiors — walls, ceilings and joinery — prepared and finished as a residence. Wallcoverings are hung as part of the same interior. The two have to be sequenced so paper is not marked by paint and paint is not left looking like a stop-gap against the hanging.

High-end residential interiors are specified, not improvised. We applied the decorations and hung the wallcoverings named in Piperhill Construction's package. The papers and the paint systems were those specified for this house.

The relationship sat with Piperhill Construction. Their site team set the areas and the close-out. We decorated and hung the interiors in the package and handed them back as a luxury residential interior, not as a decorating sample left for the occupier to live around.

What we did

  • Decorations
  • Wallcoverings
  • High-end decoration and wallcoverings in a luxury residential interior for Piperhill Construction

Working on this site

Working on this site meant decorating and hanging wallcoverings inside a luxury house in Kensington Park Gardens. Access is residential access: a street that is not a compound, neighbours who are living next door, and a house that cannot take unlimited plant. We brought in what the day's work needed and we took waste out the same way.

Wallcoverings on a high-end residential job are prepared for. Walls have to be sound and flat. Joints and pattern are set out against the openings in the room. We hung the specified wallcoverings so the interior looked designed, not like a length stopped short.

Decoration sits around that hanging. Cut-ins against paper, painted joinery and ceilings have to be clean. We sequenced decorations and wallcoverings so each trade visit left the other intact. That is how a luxury residential interior is actually finished.

Piperhill Construction closed the package with us against the decoration and the hanging. Snags on this kind of job are visual: a joint, a blister, a mark, a ragged edge. We attended to those. We stayed inside the decorations and wallcoverings in the package.

This is high-end decoration and wallcoverings at Kensington Park Gardens: luxury residential interiors for Piperhill Construction, finished as a house.

We are CHAS and SSIP accredited and 100% RIDDOR-free.
